The Immaterial Files IV: the Briefing RoomView to the left from the entrance. The room has no door. The Immaterial Files IV: the Briefing Room by WitchHunterRobinFans
The semicircle on the wall is a decoration. There are also three openings into the office, two with bars and one without.
The wall near the entrance.
The wall is richly decorated, but on screen it is usually obscured by the projector.
The upturned far end of the table can function as a display, though we never see it in use.
The projector is essentially similar to those in the office, but uses a larger screen.
There is a single set of controllers, the same as in the office - a wireless keyboard and a trackball. (That is one weird keyboard layout...)
The room is cooled by water running down one wall.
Witch detectors are placed in the corners for decoration.
This object is purely ornamental.
This sinister-looking device above the entrance is an air cleaner. The room also has security cameras somewhere.
The glass wall of the director’s office overlooks the room.
This is Murase’s own design, he wanted the se
The Immaterial Files III: the Office, pt.2All the hunters have similar desks and chairs. The desk beside Michael is Amon’s, the others, left to right, belong to Robin, Karasuma, Sakaki and Dojima. The Immaterial Files III: the Office, pt.2 by WitchHunterRobinFans
The only personal item on Amon’s desk is a clock.
Michael’s desk. The green thing to the right of the screen is a shell of an old tape recorder converted to a paper tray. The black and white device on the left is a CPU cooler. A note on the sketch tells the artists to put all his handwriting in English.
Robin’s desk, as the art book says, is “so obsessively neat it is empty”. Karasuma has a paper tray under the monitor, some case files and a calendar clock.
On Sakaki’s desk there is a spark plug and a photo of a bike. It also seems that Dojima is not the only one who reads magazines at work.
The sketch of Dojima's desk shows a mirror and an eye pillow. A sly note to the artists says that the drawers “are probably stuffed with makeup”, but later in the series we get to see the neat
The Immaterial Files II: the Office, pt.1The office is on the top floor and is accessed from the gallery overlooking the atrium. The Immaterial Files II: the Office, pt.1 by WitchHunterRobinFans
Someone on the design team just loved suspended concrete blocks. The door proved useless in ep.15, when the attackers blew away the surrounding glass.
View of the office from the entrance.
The sketch does not show the projectors on the ceiling, most of the furniture or partitions. Parts of the floor were meant to be covered with iron grate with piping visible underneath, but either CG limitations or common sense prevailed.
Directly to the right from the entrance is a reception space with a fancy air cleaner in the corner. The white parts protruding out of the floor are the remains of old walls; it is a mystery how people can walk around the office and never stumble.
The air cleaner uses running water. The monstrosity is only seen in detail once in the first episode.
Further along the right-hand wall is the entrance to the briefing room; note the floor in the sketch (more iron grate and pipes). The e
